What happens next

Your authorization forms are filed with the appraisal district on your behalf.

We file a Notice of Protest for each of your properties before the deadline. After filing, your county appraisal district will schedule a hearing date with HomeTax.

We prepare evidence, represent your property at the hearing, and handle any necessary follow-up. Most hearings take place between June and August, though some counties schedule into September or October.

Once the protest process is complete, we'll promptly notify you of the results. If there are no savings, there is no fee.
